Designed for use in angle grinders, this set of carving discs and rasps will carve, sculpt, shape or smooth hard, soft and exotic woods. Each disc and rasp is engineered from carbon steel, quenched and tempered to HRC45-55. This extensive hardening process ensures durability and long lasting sharpness, with the rows of machine stitched teeth working quickly to provide rapid stock removal. The open, less concentrated tooth pattern prevents the disc or rasp from loading with swarf, to maintain optimum control during use and provide a finer surface finish.

The discs are well suited for the shaping of large carvings, chair seats, busts, oak beams and in all other operations where typically a gouge or spoke shave would be used. The curved disc is excellent for working on concave areas and any inside curves whilst the tapered disc has a wide face for shaping or smoothing convex and flat surfaces. The flat disc is excellent for levelling high spots and general smoothing of uneven surfaces whilst the round, cylindrical disc allows for controlled grooving, notching and shaping in a different plane to a standard carving disc.

The spherical ball rasp has a diameter of 30mm and is designed for carving smooth hollows and concave features, ideal for spoons, bowls and multi-directional freeform sculpting. The cylindrical rasp has a diameter of 30mm with a 40mm working length and is designed for fast surface material removal, creating grooves, enlarging holes and rounding edges.

The discs feature a 22.2mm centre bore and the rasps feature M14 threads, for use with industry standard 115 - 125mm angle grinders. Each disc and rasp feature a tough surface coating for extra durability, cooler running and corrosion protection. ©
